AWS Step Functions
AWS Step Functions is a fully managed, serverless workflow orchestration service that coordinates AWS services, Lambda functions and microservices using state machines defined in Amazon States Language.
About AWS Step Functions
Step Functions lets you build workflows as state machines described in the JSON-based Amazon States Language (ASL) or visually in Workflow Studio. States can invoke more than 200 AWS services directly, branch, run in parallel, map over large datasets (Distributed Map), wait for callbacks and retry with backoff. Standard workflows are durable for up to a year with exactly-once execution, while Express workflows target high-volume, short-lived event processing. Because it is fully managed, there is no infrastructure to operate, and you pay per state transition or per execution duration.
